…….Naturally Fresh, Inc. recently announced their renewed
sponsorship of the United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooters ProCup
series. The company began
sponsoring USAR in 1994. Sponsorship
of the ProCup series allowed the company to become part of the fastest
growing race series in the
United States
.
According to Mike White, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, not
only was the company able to sponsor several drivers in the USAR
series, but they were also able to become a “corporate umbrella
sponsor”. In other words
the company is involved in USAR events on several levels.
Sampling of Naturally Fresh® products occurs at
each race. The sponsorship
also allows the company to partner with its customers, such as Kroger
and
Food
City
, in race-themed promotions. These
promotions give Naturally Fresh another opportunity to market their
products in the stores. Various
consumer marketing events also take place, such as contests to become
an honorary pit crew member or the honorary starter at a USAR race.
The company is also using the sponsorship as another avenue to
promote its partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Exposure of the ProCup has significantly expanded
over the years. It
currently encompasses television, radio, Internet broadcasts, and
print media, from small town newspapers to USA
Today. Sponsorship of
the Hooters ProCup provides Naturally Fresh with a unique opportunity.
The company is able to participate on a large scale in the
racing arena, which is currently the fastest growing segment in
sports.
