Fresh Partners with National Breast Cancer Foundation
February 6, 2004-(Atlanta, GA)
Naturally Fresh Inc., the Atlanta-based
manufacturer of salad dressings, dips, and sauces, will join the National
Breast Cancer Foundation’s (NBCF) fight against breast cancer.
Led by Janelle Hail, the NBCF is one of the primary organizations
in breast cancer education. NBCF
also provides mammograms to women in need.
Naturally Fresh® Dressings
are made without artificial preservatives and are found in the
refrigerated produce section of supermarkets.
The company’s first effort was a
contribution made to NBCF in honor of Mr. R.H. Brooks, the company’s
founder, and his family.
In the coming months Naturally Fresh
will incorporate the partnership in marketing and sales programs.
Radio spot tags airing on two
Atlanta
radio stations will announce the company’s involvement with NBCF.
Two coupon promotions will support the
cause.
Cents off coupons will appear in Sunday newspaper supplements on
May 2, prior to Mother’s Day, and October 24, during “Think Pink”
month. Redeemed coupons will
generate contributions to NBCF.
The Foundation’s partnership with
Naturally Fresh will also benefit from the company’s participation in
sports marketing. Naturally
Fresh works with the United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooters ProCup
Series, the Hooters International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Drag Racing
Series, and the National Golf Association (NGA) Hooters Pro Golf Tour.
Donations from these properties will
center on the redemption of Naturally Fresh jar lids.
For example, fans attending a USAR race will receive $5.00 off one
general admission ticket with the redemption of one Naturally Fresh jar
lid. For each lid turned in,
the Foundation will receive a contribution.
Alan Mesches, Marketing Director for
Naturally Fresh, Inc., said, “We are proud to be associated with the
National Breast Cancer Foundation.”
He added, “To our company, this is a great opportunity to work
with a dedicated cause. It
makes good business sense and good community sense to us.”
