Foods Gets New Name
December 27,
2002—(Atlanta, GA)
In a name change matching it’s leading brand, the dressing,
sauce and dip manufacturer Eastern Foods, Inc. will become Naturally
Fresh, Inc. January 1, 2003.
The company produces Naturally Freshâ
Salad Dressings, one of the nation’s leading refrigerated salad
dressings.
When making the
announcement, Chairman and Founder R.H. Brooks said:
“This change recognizes the importance of our
Naturally Freshâ
brand. It clearly defines our
company to consumers, retailers, restaurant operators and distributors. In a little more than three years, we will celebrate our 40th
anniversary. We want our name
to demonstrate the strength of our brand.”
Mr. Brooks founded the Atlanta-based company in a
4,000 square-foot warehouse with $10,000 in 1966. The company has always remained privately held.
Its headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in South
Fulton County’s College Park.
Since its start in 1966, the company developed a
branch distribution system to service customers. In the past 12 months, while other companies pulled back,
Naturally Fresh, Inc. added three branches, upgraded two others and plans
to open at least two new facilities in 2003.
Next year, the company plans to operate 26 branches from coast to
coast. |
